Parents are in control
Only a parent will be able to create an account and add children. You will decide which devices your children use and what is released from the Vault.
Privacy and child safety
How Homework.school is designed to protect your family. The privacy notice is the formal document; this page explains it in plain words.
In plain words
Only a parent will be able to create an account and add children. You will decide which devices your children use and what is released from the Vault.
You will read the parental notice and give consent before a child profile can be used. The consent method itself is being finalized with counsel.
To read questions and write hints, AI services will receive the homework content needed for that task. The privacy notice will list each service, what it receives and how long it keeps it.
Staff access to homework is designed to require an approved, time-limited and logged exception. Whether a parent must approve each one is being decided.
Grades 7–8 include students who are 13. The design tells them clearly what their parent can see. The exact settings are being finalized.
The planned parent controls will include options to export or delete family records, subject to the final privacy and retention policies. How long deleted records remain in backups will be set out in the retention policy.
Design commitments
These are product rules in the approved design. Security and legal review will confirm them before launch.
